Real algebraic knots of low degree
Résumé :
A rational real algebraic knot is a generic real rational curve in
projective 3- space. The real points of such a curve forms a topological
knot in real projective space. A rigid isotopy is a continuous family of
real algebraic knots. We define the Viro's encomplexed writhe, which is a
rigid isotopy invariant, and show that it gives a complete rigid isotopy
classification of rational real algebraic knots of degree at most 5.
